Overall Strategy of the Work Plan (max. 1 page)

In line with the project objectives outlined above, the project will consist of several work packages (WPs) building on each other.

In detail, WP 1 will examine the international basis for adaptation and mitigation policiy in developing countries. As outlined above, substantial decisions on the further development of the UNFCCC regime are expected to be taken over the course of 2010. These decisions will to a high degree predetermine options for adaptation and mitigation in developing countries. The aim of WP 1 is therefore to provide an up-to-date picture of the international framework conditions.
